Day 1: Arrival and Beach Time

After arriving in Destin, you and your family can check into your hotel or vacation rental. There are several affordable options for accommodations in Destin, including hotels and vacation rentals.

After settling in, head straight to the beach! The crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches are the main attraction of Destin and are perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and building sandcastles. Take some time to relax and soak up the sun, and take a dip in the water to cool off. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen and plenty of water!

Day 2: Fishing and Wildlife Viewing

On day 2, take a break from the beach and head out for some fishing and wildlife viewing. There are several options for deep-sea fishing and eco-tours in the area, such as Destin Fishing Charters and Pelican Adventures Snorkeling. These tours offer a great opportunity to catch a variety of fish, including red snapper, grouper, and amberjack, as well as view wildlife such as dolphins, sea turtles, and birds.

After your tour, head to HarborWalk Village for some shopping and dining. The village features a variety of shops and restaurants, as well as live music and entertainment.

Day 3: Water Sports and Amusement Parks

Day 3 is all about water sports and amusement parks. Destin is known for its variety of water sports activities, including jet skiing, parasailing, and paddleboarding. There are several rental companies in the area that offer equipment and lessons, such as XTREME H2O and Boogies Watersports.

After your water sports activities, head to one of Destin’s amusement parks. The Track is a popular choice for families, offering go-karts, mini-golf, and other attractions. Another option is Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park, which features water slides, lazy rivers, and other water attractions.

Day 4: State Parks and Seafood

On your final day in Destin, take a trip to one of the nearby state parks. Henderson Beach State Park is a popular choice, offering hiking trails, picnic areas, and a beach with clear blue water. Another option is Grayton Beach State Park, which features a natural beach and scenic hiking trails.
